Radu Filip

Radu's biggest passion is to lead change and transform organizations. His experience in analyzing complex problems, developing clear visions, and achieving results through strategic execution earned him the nickname "Mr. Insightful". Radu has a rich background in finance and IT operations, with ten years of experience in oil & gas, that followed nine years in high demand IT operations. He has an MBA from Rice University, and a professional career that spans on two continents.

Radu is currently Sr. Manager, Integrations and Project Management with the Corporate Finance's Global Services group at Cameron. In this role, Radu leads a global transition towards a finance shared service model, development of standardization of financial reporting, and the finance integration following the Schlumberger acquisition. Cameron International (NYSE:CAM) is the leading worldwide provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to oil, gas, and process industries. It has a market capitalization of 14 billion US dollars and revenues of 10 billion dollars, more than 25,000 employees in 5 segments, with a total of 300+ plants in more than 45 countries.

Since 2008, Radu held a number of positions in Cameron, ranging from Business Process lead to Software Asset Management. In these roles he was responsible for creating and executing consolidated group budgets, analyzing and optimizing costs during cyclical downturns, managed software assets, procurement, and audits; he led numerous process improvement initiatives in the area of finance, supply chain, legal, and finance shared service centers.

Prior to joining Cameron in June 2008, Radu was the Manager of Global IT Operations at 3DGeo Inc., an innovative provider of seismic imaging services, where he was responsible for the performance of four high demand data centers. This position followed a number of IT operations roles with a number of Internet companies in North America and Europe.

Radu holds an MBA in Global Business & Strategy from Rice University (Houston, TX USA), a Master and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (Iasi, Romania EU). At Rice, he was awarded the Jones Citizenship Award for excellence and nominated for the Wright Leadership Award. In 2001 he was awarded a Erasmus/Socrates scholarship in Antwerp (Belgium EU).

Involved in the public civic and professional life, Radu also currently serves as Emerging Leader at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy. He previously served in the Board of Directors of a small energy firm, as Treasurer and Chair for Rice Graduate Alumni Council, and as Director in the Houston Chapter of NAWMBA.

Radu came in the United States of America in 2005. He currently lives and works in Houston, Texas with his family. He was born and raised in Iasi, the second-largest city in Romania, a state of the European Union.
